At this time we are unable to offer refunds for players choosing to withdraw due to fixed costs we incur to run a season. Items such as facility fees, coaches fees, equipment and tournament registration costs (grades 3-8) are just some of the types of expenses we pay for upfront and don't have access to recoup should players withdraw. We will re-evaluate at the end of the season if we are able to offer any refunds. All families will be included in any refund at that time.

Orono Basketball Association (OBBA) provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships for athletes wishing to play in the Orono Basketball Association K-8 Program under the following guidelines:

• Athlete must be a resident of the Orono School District or attend an Orono school to apply for scholarship.
• Athlete and his/her families are expected to pay a portion of the fees and costs associated with the program. Scholarships are limited a maximum of 50% of the stated fees.
• Scholarships will be awarded based upon both financial need and availability of funds.
• Scholarships requests made AFTER the Registration Deadline will NOT be accepted.
• Families of athletes who are recipients of a scholarship from OBBA are required to complete volunteer hours in accordance with OBBA’s volunteer policy.
• Information gathered through the application process will not be shared or disclosed outside of OBBA and will only be used in an effort to determine eligibility.
