The Orono Basketball Association offers a travel basketball program for boys and girls in grades 4-8.  All teams are formed after the conclusion of evaluations, typically held in September or October.  The travel basketball season runs from October to March.

Teams generally have 2 practices per week.  The 4th grade teams will play  in 8 weekend tournaments and or leagues during the season. The 5th - 8th grade teams will have 10 weekend tournaments  on their schedule. Some tournaments are Saturday & Sunday, while some are Saturday OR Sunday only.

OBBA hosts 2 tournaments and a 3on3 League.  3on3 League games are scheduled for4-5 Sundays in September/October from 5-9pm.  The Boys Spartan Classic Tournament and the Girls Spartan Classic Tournament are held back to back days in January with the boys playing Saturday and the girls on Sunday.  Please see website for actual dates (posted once finalized each season).  Parents are required to work a shift at one of our two Spartan Classic basketball tournaments.

We use volunteer parent coaches for our 4th-6th grade teams and employ paid coaches for 7th and 8th grade teams.  A coaching application is available on this website.
